Tours of the Centre


Visit us and enjoy a three hour guided wildlife tour during which you will see and learn about cheetah, African wild dog, caracal, African wild cat, vultures and various antelope species.  These tours a led by a knowledgeable guide who will present many cheetah and wildlife facts.  Tours are given daily, at 8h30 and 13h30 except on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and Sunday mornings where the morning tour starts at 8h00 in stead of 8h30 to inlcude a cheetah run.

The Cheetah Run

The ambassador cheetahs at the Centre are exercised three times a week as part of an enrichment programme.  This entails the cheetahs chasing a high speed lure and visitors are able to witness the cheetah moving at speed.  This activity offers some excellent photographic opportunities.

Family Tours

We are happy to announce that we now have a family tour which can accommodate families with children under the age of six.  Tour times are 9h30 and 14h30 and the duration is two hours. 

Private Tours

For groups of 1 - 8 a private tour can be arranged at an additional cost.  Guests are taken out on a smaller game viewing vehicle for the more personal touch


School Tours

A one and a half hour walking tour is given to learners who visit the Centre.  Learners have the opportunity of seeing cheetah, African wild dog and many of the other species at the Centre up close.  They are able to learn about and see first hand many of the adaptations that certain species of wildlife have in order to survive in the wild.  The Education Centre boasts a predator 'preyground' (playground), this has a number of activities which learners can take part in to understand the cycles in nature.

Outreach Programme

The Education team at the Centre will visit schools and various institutions in order to educate and create awareness about the cheetah and nature conservation in general.  After a power point presentation, an ambassador cheetah is brought into the classroom and learners have the opportunity to observe a cheetah at close quarters.  Our ambassador cheetah Byron meets on average between 10 and 15 000 learners per annum.
