School Tours
The Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre offers a one and a half hour educational walking tour for learners who visit the Centre. This provides the opportunity for learners to see Cheetahs and African Wild Dogs up close, they are also afforded the opportunity of seeing and learning about vultures, Brown Hyena, Caracal and African Wild Cat. Tours are conducted by a trained guide and are very inter-active.

Normal School Tour - R30.00 per learner
Let your learners experience wildlife and nature by bringing them on a tour of the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre. They will get to see and learn about cheetah, African wild dog, Caracal, African wild cat and Vultures. The tour consists of:
- A short powerpoint presentation and lecture
- Followed by a walking tour where animals are fed
- The tour ends at our curio shop
Interactive school tour - An additional R10.00 per learner

In addition to the normal school tour this option offers learners an opportunity to meet one of our ambassador cheetahs and experience the characteristics
Morning Package - R60.00 per learner

Learners have the opportunity to play interactive educational games on our ‘predator preyground’ as well as learn about the nature that surrounds them. This package consists of:
- Session on ‘Preyground’
- Refreshment break (Own refreshments to be supplied)
- Powerpoint presentation
- Walking tour where animals are fed
- Ambassador cheetah experience (optional)
Outreach Education:
Invite us to visit your school and an Education Officer from the Centre will come and give learners a formal lesson supported by a powerpoint presentation, and under controlled circumstances will be introduced to one of our ambassador cheetahs. Visits are made to both rural and urban communities.
Visit consists of:
- Slide show presentation (Power Point)
- History of the cheetah
- Conservation status
- Cheetah challenges
- Visit by our Cheetah ambassador
- Approximately one hour long
